Vidushi Kamala Bose was a stalwart of Hindustani Classical music. Though associated with the Benaras Gharana, she made Allahabad her home and center of activity. She was a top-grade artist of All India Radio Allahabad.
She was known for her expansive repertoire of Thumris and Dadras. As a Guru, she trained numerous students in the city, cementing Allahabad's reputation as a center for vocal music excellence.
