
Kadhi Badi (or Bari) is a comfort food staple. Small fritters (Badi) made of Besan (gram flour) are fried and then simmered in a yellow, tangy yogurt-based curry (Kadhi).
Unlike the Punjabi Kadhi which is sweet and thick, the Bihari version is thinner and tangier. It is traditionally served with steamed rice. It is considered an auspicious dish, often cooked to welcome a new bride or groom.
