Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace) in Faizabad was the residence of the Nawabs of Awadh before the capital shifted to Lucknow. It is a graceful structure showcasing the lavish lifestyle of the nobility of that era.
The palace is known for its architectural elegance and acoustic design. It is said that the Nawabs would sit here to enjoy music and dance performances. It is deeply associated with the memory of Queen of Ghazal, Begum Akhtar, who was a native of Faizabad.
While parts of it are in disrepair or converted for government use, the facade remains a beautiful example of the fusion of Mughal and local styles.
