Located near the Ram Janmabhoomi, Sita Ki Rasoi is a temple dedicated to Goddess Sita in her role as the provider of food. While the name implies a kitchen, it is actually a shrine that houses antique vessels (rolling pin, plate, etc.) as deities.
Tradition says that after marriage, the new bride cooks a meal for the family. This site commemorates that tradition for Sita. It emphasizes the domestic and nurturing aspect of the Goddess, often overshadowed by the epic narrative.
The temple also houses idols of the four brothers (Ram, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughan) and their wives. Priests here often distribute food, keeping the spirit of the 'Rasoi' alive.
